His career spans 50 years as a licensed broker, including work under Harold Heinold in the 1970s, time as a floor trader at the Chicago Board of Trade, and nearly 30 years as Vice President of Commodity Investments at A.G. Edwards.For 25 years, he taught futures and options at Purdue University Calumet, Indiana University Northwest, and to numerous farm groups. His market insights have appeared on radio, TV, and in national publications such as Barron’s, The Wall Street Journal, and USA Today.
Outside the markets, Walt enjoys kayaking, soccer, and volunteering with conservation groups.Founded in 1877 by his great-great grandfather, the Breitinger family business was revived by Walt and his sons, Alex and Ben, in 2009 before merging with Paragon in 2012.
